Set against the backdrop of California’s iconic central coast, this wedding weekend in Carmel was a celebration of timeless elegance and relaxed coastal charm. Thoughtfully curated by Karissa Paxton Events, the multi-day event unfolded across some of the most iconic venues in the Monterey Peninsula, offering guests an unforgettable blend of natural beauty, historic architecture, and modern sophistication.

The festivities began with a warm and intimate rehearsal dinner at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s private beach house. Guests gathered seaside as the sun dipped low, enjoying a tranquil evening filled with laughter, ocean air, and the comforting sounds of crashing waves. The understated setting allowed the couple’s love and joy to take center stage as anticipation built for the big day.

Later that evening, the couple welcomed guests to a vibrant pre-wedding celebration at La Playa Hotel in Carmel. Known for its historic charm and stunning garden views, the venue set the perfect tone for the weekend ahead. With cocktails flowing and music drifting into the evening air, friends and family mingled in an effortlessly elegant atmosphere.

The ceremony took place the following day at the Carmel Mission Basilica—a venue rich in history and architectural beauty. Beneath its soaring ceilings and soft candlelight, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by white florals and the timeless glow of the mission’s stone walls. The bridesmaids wore soft shades of blush pink, creating a delicate contrast to the pure white arrangements, crafted by Fionna Floral.

Guests then returned to Monterey Peninsula Country Club for a romantic, candlelit reception. The setting was ethereal—long tables draped in fine linens from BBJ La Tavola, accented with elegant rentals from Chic Event Rentals and Standard Event Rentals. Hundreds of candles flickered across the tables, casting a warm glow as the sun set behind the coastal horizon. Guests dined under soft lighting, toasted to love, and danced the night away to the sounds of Hip Service, whose energy brought the celebration to life.

Every detail, from the floral artistry to the custom paper goods, the vintage Rolls Royce, and the unforgettable afterparty at Barmel, was seamlessly orchestrated by Karissa Paxton Events.
